Most blogs publish the latest post at the top of the page and you have to scroll down to see previous posts. At the end of the month they all disappear and you have to click on the archive for that month to see that month's posts. Some blog programs allow you to create a main page that stays in place with posts listed below it. Others who want to keep a post in place and not have it archive set a post date way in the future, say Jan 1, 2010. But perhaps a conventional web page might be more appropriate in those cases but the ease with which a blog can be published makes it an attractive medium for those who want to share their wisdom.
